Gary Smith, Chairman
Biography
Mr. Smith recently served as the principal financial officer of The Andersons, Inc. (ANDE, on the NASDAQ) with the title of Vice President Finance and Treasurer. He joined The Andersons in 1980 and provided the leadership to transition the company from a private entity into a publicly traded corporation. Prior to joining The Andersons, Mr. Smith also served as controller for Toledo Pickling and Steel (1977-1980) and as an audit manager for Arthur Young and Company from (1971 to 1977). Mr. Smith graduated from the University of Toledo in 1971. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is active with a variety of local foundations.



Bill Krueger, President and CEO of Lansing and President of LES
Biography
Bill joined Lansing in 1995 and assumed the position of Vice President – Trading. Bill was appointed to Lansing’s Board of Managers in 1996. In 2002, he was named COO, a role in which his primary objective was to restructure the business from a "C" corporation to a Limited Liability Company in order to facilitate an investment by The Andersons. Bill was named President in 2003 and CEO in 2005. He previously worked for The Scoular Company, an agricultural marketing company, and ConAgra, a packaged foods company. Bill has traded several commodities in his career, with an emphasis on wheat, and more recently, ethanol. Bill serves on most of the partner company Boards for Lansing while also having both profit and not for profit Board experience. Bill is an invited attendee at board meetings of The Andersons, Inc.



Scott Mills, EVP – N. American Trading
Biography
Scott joined Lansing in 1997 as a Location Manager. Prior to joining Lansing, Scott worked for The Scoular Company and DeBruce Grain. Scott served as a VP and Director of Marketing for Corn and Feed Ingredients for Lansing for many years before taking over the role of General Manager - LES. In 2008, Scott began his management of all N. American Trading. He continues to serve on Lansing's Board of Managers.



Hal Reed
Biography
Mr. Reed is President of the Grain & Ethanol Group of The Andersons, Inc. (ANDE, on the NASDAQ). The Grain & Ethanol Group operates thirteen grain elevators with storage capacity exceeding 85 million bushels. The Grain & Ethanol Group handles more than 170 million bushels of grain annually - primarily in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Illinois, and merchandises substantial additional quantities of grain, primarily in the eastern Corn Belt.

He graduated from Miami University in 1977 with a Bachelors degree in Accounting, and began working in public accounting. In January 1980, as a licensed CPA, Mr. Reed began his career with The Andersons, and soon added a Masters Degree (MBA – Finance) from the University of Toledo. Mr. Reed has held various accounting, operational and marketing positions within the Grain Division. He was named Vice President and General Manager of the Grain Division in 1998, became President of the Grain Division in January 2001, and was named President of the Grain & Ethanol Group in 2005.



Sebastian Barrack
Biography
Mr. Barrack is jointly responsible for the Agricultural commodities and Investor Products Division at Macquarie Bank. Prior to his current role, he pioneered Macquarie's capability in commodity index products and developed this area into a strong business which provides the full spectrum of derivative products to the investment community. From 1998 to 2003, he managed the trading function for all agricultural derivative products. He joined Macquarie in 1999 via Macquarie's acquisition of the Investment Banking business of Bankers Trust Australia. At Bankers Trust, he structured and traded interest rate derivatives having joined in January 1995 as a graduate from Australian National University.



Bill Lewis
Biography
Mr. Lewis received a BA and MBA from the University of Kansas in 1972 and 1974 respectively. He worked for Arthur Andersen & Co. for five years in their Administrative Services (consulting) practice and left there as a Manager. After a variety of roles in private industry as Assistant to the President and Divisional Vice President, Mr. Lewis joined Cerner Corporation (NASD: CERN) in 1983. Mr. Lewis served in their consulting practice and the application development environment before being promoted to Vice President of Product Development, a position he held for 10 years. Mr. Lewis also served as the Chief Operating Officer for Cerner International during the final 3 years of his employment, retiring in 1998.



Sam Freitag
Biography
Samuel C. Freitag has been an independent Private Investor and a member of several boards of directors since January, 2004. From July, 2002 to December, 2003, Mr. Freitag was president of McCarthy Capital Corporation. McCarthy Capital was a private equity fund manager managing approximately $300 million of capital. Prior to joining McCarthy Capital, Mr. Freitag was a Senior Managing Director of George K. Baum Merchant Banc, LLC, managing a $100 million private equity investment fund, a position he assumed in early 1997. From 1993 to 1997, Mr. Freitag was Vice Chairman, Director of Investment Banking, a member of the Management Committee and oversaw all corporate investment banking activities of George K. Baum & Company. Mr Freitag joined George K. Baum & Company's Corporate Finance Department in 1986. Mr. Freitag serves on the Board of Managers of MarketSphere Consulting, LLC, Lansing Trade Group, LLC and SYMMEDRx. Mr. Freitag is also on the Board of Trustees of Coe College and The Barstow School. Mr. Freitag received his B.A. degree with majors in Economics and Business Administration from Coe College where he was named a George Baker Scholar. Mr. Freitag also has his MBA from the University of Iowa.




Rasesh H. Shah
Biography
Rasesh H. Shah has served as president of The Andersons Rail Group since 1996 which currently owns and manages over 24,000 rail cars. He joined The Andersons in 1978. Shah previously was a design engineer for Sargent and Lundy Engineers in Chicago. His community involvement includes Past Chairman and current Board member of The Owens Community College Foundation, Executive Board member of the Toledo Regional Growth partnership, past trustee and Chairman of the Finance Committee for the St. Charles Mercy Health Foundation Board and a past chairman of the Toledo Edison Consumer Advisory Panel. He was recognized in 2007 as Distinguished Alumnus of the University of Toledo. He received his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Master's degree in Industrial Engineering and an MBA in Finance all from the University of Toledo. Shah has two grown sons and he and his wife Shilpa are residents of Holland, Ohio.
