LANSING TRADE GROUP, LLC COMPLETES ACQUISITION AND INTEGRATION OF ACKERMAN BEARDSLEY BENNETT, INC (OVERLAND PARK, KS) – August 3rd, 2011 - Lansing Trade Group, LLC is pleased to announce it has an agreement to purchase the remaining interest in Ackerman Beardsley Bennett Inc. (ABB) and when soon closed will be the 100% owner of the long time feed merchandiser. This is the result of an investment that began in 2008 and has culminated into an important part of LTG. In conjunction with the acquisition, the ABB trade name will be retired and renamed Lansing Vermont, Inc. The new legal entity will conduct business as Lansing Trade Group with the same service, culture and people that have helped them be so successful over time. The combined entity will prove beneficial to customers and stakeholders alike as they gain access to the balance sheet strength of Lansing Trade Group in all transactions and open new opportunities to provide additional services to customers. The two companies have had similar histories of humble beginnings and cultures founded on building trust and relationships with customers and suppliers. Not lost in this transition will be the tradition of service and long term relationships with customers that has withstood the years. The same merchandisers that helped build ABB are eager to take advantage of the opportunities associated with becoming part of a larger organization, while also remaining cognizant of the challenges that accompany such growth. As the Ackerman name is retired, the steadfast commitment to service that the company is known for will be retained and strengthened by the extensive network of Lansing Trade Group; Lansing hopes to build on existing relationships and establish new ones with the same customer oriented service and relationship management that has proven so successful in the past.
