LANSING TRADE GROUP, LLC CONTRIBUTES $10,000 TOWARD HURRICANE RELIEF FUND THROUGH AMERICA'S SECOND HARVEST OVERLAND PARK, Kansas — October 21, 2005 — In an attempt to assist with the recovery and relief efforts of hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Lansing Trade Group, LLC, an agricultural merchandising company with offices in Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Idaho, and New York, recently contributed $10,000 to America's Second Harvest Hurricane Relief fund.
"When Lansing looked for an opportunity to assist those hurt most by Hurricane Katrina, it only seemed natural to partner with someone related to our company's focus and putting food on the table of those left homeless is what America's Second Harvest does best" explains company President, Bill Krueger. "We are pleased to play a part in the recovery efforts as our contribution will help provide approximately 16,000 meals to those individuals and families in need." Karen Haren, the Executive Director of Harvesters, the local affiliate of America's Second Harvest visited Lansing's Overland Park office today to meet with company officers and receive the donation on behalf of their organization.
